What is it?

This is more than just a fundraising event; the Lupus Walk is a celebration of our community. Our walk:

  • Is a concrete way of showing support for loved ones dealing with Lupus;
  • Creates  hope for those dealing with disease;
  • Generates a greater awareness of Lupus in the public at large;
  • Raises funds to continue our local services;
  • Is a great opportunity to socialize with friends and have fun!

See the Walk Page for more information.

Lupus Education Day 2010

A Lupus Voice at the FDA:

Lupus advocate and activist Kathleen Arntsen has been appointed to a 5-year term as a Special Government Employee (SGE) as the Lupus Patient Representative for the Office of Special Health Issues with the FDA(Food & Drug Administration).

Kathleen Ann Arntsen currently serves as President/CEO of the Lupus Foundation of Mid and Northern New York, Inc. She has volunteered within the local lupus community for the past 24 years.  She has also been very active on both the state and national level as a Patient Advocate and is a persuasive and passionate representative for lupus, rheumatologic, and autoimmune diseases.

We now have a voice for Lupus who is  a fellow New Yorker and a friend.  We are very fortunate to have her as our representative and voice!
