Symptoms of Lupus

    • Malar rash- butterfly-shaped rashes across the nose and cheeks
    • Discoid rash- raised red patches
  • Anemia (71%)
  • Kidney (renal) involvement (50%)
  • Chest pain upon deep breathing (pleurisy) – (45%)
  • Sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity) – (30%)
    • Skin rashes can develop or worsen after sun exposure
    • Sun exposure may bring on or worsen a flare
  • Pale or purple fingers from cold or stress (Raynaud’s)
  • Depression
