- Malar rash- butterfly-shaped rashes across the nose and cheeks
- Discoid rash- raised red patches
- Anemia (71%)
- Kidney (renal) involvement (50%)
- Chest pain upon deep breathing (pleurisy) – (45%)
- Sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity) – (30%)
- Skin rashes can develop or worsen after sun exposure
- Sun exposure may bring on or worsen a flare
- Pale or purple fingers from cold or stress (Raynaud’s)
